Griffins Liquid Chocolate Tanks

The constructors of these vessels used clever reinforcement and positioning of the load cell mounts in the tank skirt to keep the load cells protected and not protruding into a space where they can be damaged by forklifts and other equipment. This positioning also allowed the load cell cabling to be routed inside the skirt keeping the installation tidy and safe from damage.

The tanks at Griffins Papakura, Auckland plant each used 3 x DSM 2 11t load cell mounts and a Rinstrum 1203 load cell transmitter. The transmitter was also located inside the vessel skirt, minimising cable length and electrical noise problems.
