This Japanese grading machine was originally a mechanical grader. It works like this: the bulbs are placed in the cups on one side of the machine then carried around to the other side where they travel over 4 weigh sections. If the bulbs are heavier than the pre-set weight, the cup tips and drops the bulb into a bin. The problems were that the mechanical set-up was hard to adjust and to calibrate. Southern Star asked us to retrofit it to electronic control.
